70,000 miles of Alitalia expiring in June and 17 days of accumulate holidays, have been a perfect excuse to explore this beautiful part of the world!Unfortunately, those who expect to find uncharted jungles, wild and rare animals will be promptly disappointed. Over the past 30 years, in fact, 75% of the pristine jungle has been destroyed to make way for palm oil plantations. A total devastation. The second most important lung of our planet, after the Amazon, gone to fulfill few “selected” people! The only remaining jungles, are enclosed in natural parks such as the Gunung Mulu National Park in Serawak, where I spent a trekking week, exploring caves and immersing myself into the purest nature. I spent the other week in Kota Kinabalu, in the Malaysian State of Sabah, riding a MDT, paddling on the slimy Padas River on a raft boat, exploring the rest of the country on a TDM 150 cm3. Another great holiday!
