Who I am

 /Me, through my travels…

Travel, discover, know, meet and understand oneself

I always wanted to do, ever since I was a child and with my playmates, I wandered in Asti countryside imagining to be an explorer. The woods were thick impenetrable jungles, the deposits dug into the tuff were unexplored caves containing thousand pirates treasures. The II World War bunkers in the mountains of Cuneo, were extremely attractive, as if they hid the soldiers’ ancient memories. Then life took me away from these games and these dreams, but fortunately only for a while! The turning point came in 1997 when, for job reasons, I began to travel frequently, first in Europe and then in South America. And in 2001, the turning point. STOP watching documentaries and reading travel magazines. It was time to act! Time To Start! Monday, April 24, 2012: this is the date that marks the change. It’s 8,00 AM and I’m opening the laptop, starting reading e-mails. I stop at the first one coming from an arrogant and silly customer. I close the Laptop and exclaim: BASTA!!! (ENOUGH in Italian!)
This is the exact moment when I decided that this was not the life I wanted. A management position, an excellent salary and a series of benefits and company bonuses. THINGS, MONEY ... ..but life is not only that! These are just tools, important to survive in this society certainly, but absolutely useless for you to feel at peace with yourself and with the world. And so I decided to leave my "comfort zone" as I like to call it. That comfort zone that each of us creates with the crazy illusion that it is real, when in fact it is only fiction, aleatory and fragile.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined. This wrote the great American philosopher Henry Thoreau. And this becomes my motto at the cellular level, I metabolize it, I do it mine and I decide to pursue my dreams. Leave everything and change radically life! I leave for a motorbike world tour for 5 years!
